Employing FPV drones to boost real-estate sales.

In the real-estate market there are always two avenues to approach in terms of the advertising of property.

  • Interior shots, conveying the liveable space, comfort, convenience and drawing guests to open showings.

  • Exterior shots, revealing the surrounding neighbourhood, practicality in terms of transport and of course safety of daily life.

Drone footage is often focused on the latter, with orbiting views of the property and aerial photos showing the full property along with the surrounding area (which is a huge part in peoples choice of even showing up to a viewing).

But it can also be used for the whole interior journey as well, especially the journey from exterior to interior, seamlessly.

This is done via FPV drones that essentially allows the audience to experience the “disembodied” perspective of floating through the entire house, apartment or office space.

It is an immediately captivating experience which works exceptionally well in advertising material for social media.

When a potential house-buyer, digital nomad looking for a new base, or even companies looking for new office spaces sees such footage, it instantly conveys both the practical and emotional aspects they were wondering about.

It conveys the practicality of the space in a single one-shot journey over the course of just 60 seconds.
From the exterior neighbourhood, straight through the front door into the lobby, continuing to show off the relevant spaces giving an unparalleled accurate representation of the 3d space and how it actually “works” to be a human in said space.
Compared to photos who often leaves a lot of questions.

But it also offers the viewer a more emotional connection with the space immediately.
Seeing a cozy lobby witth warm lighting reflecting in the floor below, all of it playing on the surface as the angles and views change, makes people fall in love with the area before any dry technical factors or practical matters have been listed in a wall of text.

If we fall in love with a place, the fine print rarely matters as much as it did before (for example condo facilities or proximity to public transport).

The best way to consider whether or not your space or property is suitable for an FPV flythrough or if it would benefit at all from it, is to simply ask yourself: “If i could view the whole space in 60 seconds as if i was really here, would it captivate me?“

Naturally it is not the right fit for very tight space-limited areas, but for anything above a capsule hotel it is a perfect match.

FPV drones can also have encased propellers so they are very safe in case of softly bumping into objects, completely safe for people choreographed in the area and often the slower we fly the better the experience.
